Yes, I can't get enough of giant salamanders! Here's one last photo before tonight's special! National Geographic Channel, 8pm (with an encore later in the evening)!
In case anyone is wondering, the nearest relative to a giant salamander is a frog. And if you go to the museum of Natural History in NY, you can see the mock-up of an extinct giant frog that looks very much like Lisa's salamanders. That must have been before the two species split on that long lonesome Darwin highway. Happy Giant Salamander Day everyone!
