Last Chance for "Dr. Horrible" -- For Now, At Least!

Don't forget to get your Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog fix in today. At midnight tonight the good...er, bad...Doctor and the three Acts of his villainous story disappear for now. We don't want to give away anything about the plot or other pertinent details, but know that it's well worth 30 minutes of your time. What Whedon and his gang can give you in a mere half-hour is magical. Again let us give a big shout-out to the terrific performances of Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day! Production-wise Dr. Horrible is beautiful with lovely sound design -- just watch and enjoy! Time's running out!

Get Thee to "Dr. Horrible"!

Hope you're up-to-date on Dr. Horrible! Act II is up now, and it's delightful. Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day and Simon Helberg are wonderful, and the plot is thickening nicely. I also like those three varmints who turn up to sing the letters from the Western-themed superevil head honcho.

Check out our previous posts for all pertinent websites! The response has been overwhelming -- let's hope not surprising -- and kudos to Whedon et al for coming through with such terrific midsummer nights' treats.

"Dr. Horrible" Brings Down the Net!

Fans surging to view Act 1 of Joss Whedon and company's internet superhero musical Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog crashed the official site yesterday. This is good news, of course, and if you've been unable to get in to watch it -- I tried numerous times yesterday and now today at 6am I still can't get into the main official site -- you can watch it on here on their adjunct site (with a Hulu player) or on this site (with a different player). (Dr. Horrible stars Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris, pictured on the left).

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Act 1 is completely cute -- silly and winsome -- and you'll remember why television hasn't been quite the same since Buffy and the gang moved along.

Act 2 will be up tomorrow, and Act 3 on Saturday, will all three parts remaining up until midnight on Sunday. For more information, do check out the Dr. Horrible fan site here!

"Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog" Coming This Tuesday!

We've had the little widget up here since early last week, but now we're featuring the nice new multi-featured one (on the right hand side of our page), and it's time to seriously start the countdown to writer-director-producer Joss Whedon's clever three-part original internet musical which premieres this Tuesday, July 15th. You all know and love Joss' creations, I'm sure -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, the upcoming and highly anticipated Dollhouse -- and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, which was created by Whedon during the long writers strike, looks to be equally as entertaining.

A Whedon-described "supervillain musical," Dr. Horrible stars Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Desperate Housewives), Felicia Day (Buffy, web series The Guild) and Flaming Nose special favorite Simon Helberg from The Big Bang Theory. You know it's got to be a lot of fun, and what's possibly most fascinating about it is that it will be unveiled sequentially on three days -- Act 1 on Tuesday 7/15, Act 2 on Thursday 7/17, and Act 3 on Saturday 7/19 -- and all three acts will remain up until midnight on Sunday July 20th, when Dr. Horrible will be taken down to await further Whedon-wrought distribution plans.

The Flaming Nose doesn't want you to miss this! We'll keep nagging you, and as a visual reminder here's the Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog trailer which is now featured on the Dr. Horrible website, too. And there's a more elaborate Dr. Horrible website, too -- not sure which is the *official official site, but this is the official fan site, anyway. Enjoy!

* Thanks to a kind and trusty visitor (see the comment!), we have learned that the official site -- where the eps will be -- is Dr.Horrible.com!
