Nose-Talgia Responds: The Green Lady from Lost in Space
Well Scott, you've really started something now. It's late tonight so I can't possibly respond with the complete and comprehensive version of my top 5 Lost in Space and Star Trek episodes. There will be more time for that over the weekend. Just let me begin with one magnificent memory of a L.I.S. episode featuring the (most appropriate, since we just passed the anniversary of "Earth Day") GREEN LADY! Who could forget her seductive meow..."Dr. Smiiiiiiith...Dr. Smittttthhhhh....aaaaaaahhhhhhh!" That sing song plaintive whine for Dr. Smith as she floated outside the front window of the Jupiter Two. Her shimmering emerald green sparkling lips! Her asparagus colored tights! Her clear plastic bowl hat! Well. We all know Dr. Smith could not resist her charms. I vote that this Alpha Centauri hottie should become our mascot for the blog chain that is certain to follow.
Lisa? Flaming Nose Fans? Scott has thrown down the gauntlet! We await your top Star Trek and Lost in Space episodes as comments (or those who can) posts!
YES YES YES, the Lady from the Green Dimension." Love it! Love her! Love the way Dr. Smith responded to her wooing with a trance induced monotone "I'mmmm comiiing." Did you know her name is Athena? She made a second appearance a few episodes later, when the Jupiter 2 was marooned on yet another planet for the rest of the season. She turned Will green. TV Guide always started the description of that episode "Will is green!"

ReplyDeleteWow, it's Scott from the 3rd Dimension. Three identical posts! I had error messages twice, and then this happend. Oh well, we can delete the dupes!
ReplyDeleteI got so excited when I thought I had 4 actual comments about the Green Lady! :(
ReplyDeletei'm watching the episode now. She IS hot. even hotter when she says that dr Smith is pretty ... like a girl. lesbian overtones that somehow made it past the moral censors of 60s tv.
