Emmy Nominations Are In!

The Emmy nominations were released this morning, and many Flaming Nose favorites got multiple nods. As predicted, our beloved HBO miniseries John Adams got the most, with a total of 23 individual nominations, including Best Actor for Paul Giamatti and Best Actress for Laura Linney. Other Nose favorites in the running were Dexter (Showtime), House (FOX) and Mad Men (AMC). With 16 nominations, Mad Men made history by becoming the first basic cable program so honored. On the comedy side, Flaming Nose favorites Entourage (HBO), The Office (NBC) and 30 Rock (NBC) all have a chance to win the gold statue with wings. Bravo to all for the well deserved accolades. The Flaming Nose bloggers and fans will be watching and saluting this September when television's finest have their day in the sun. For the complete list of nominations, visit the official Emmy website.

Two's company, and as you can see, three's the charm as we all chimed in on the Emmy noms! :-)

Kind of a nice bunch of nominations -- hardly feels like the broadcast nets got any, though of course that isn't true.

Who could get this excited about the Oscars? TV is where it's at, baby!

These days, the Emmys trump the Oscars. I would put any HBO movie or miniseries above most of the stuff they cram down our throats at the movie theater!

Dueling Emmy posts....I love it! I had to do mine from work first thing in the morning so it was short but sweet. Glad Lisa and Scott had time for the full treatment!
